L.I.P.S. (lost in plain sight)
Video Sound Art IX Edizione. Liceo Volta, Milano. 2019
LIPS (Lost in Plain Sight) focuses on the visual representation of symbols used as tools of resistance to ideological oppression. LIPS feeds on visual signs designed to secretly communicate forms of belonging. The installation focuses on the body as a container of forced sense, but also as an instrument of self-training. Starting from Judith Butler’s philosophical reflections on the use of “[sign-identity] in such a way that its futuristic meanings are not precluded”, LIPS intends to reflect on the concept of a gap in identity, a gap that can be filled or left empty, but never crystallized into a single universal meaning.
